It won't be long until we know who will represent Canada at the World Cup.
Canada Soccer will reveal its 26-man roster on May 29 at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT, it announced on Wednesday.
Canada is competing in its second straight World Cup after losing all three matches in Qatar in 2022 and is looking to advance past the group stage for the first time.
It is grouped with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar and Switzerland at this World Cup, which is being held in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
Canada's three group games will be played in Toronto and Vancouver.
Multiple questions linger around the roster as Canadians have battled injuries across the world. Notably, Alphonso Davies was ruled out for four to five weeks from Sunday with a hamstring injury, putting his availability for the national team in jeopardy.
He has not played for Canada since suffering a ligament tear in March 2025.
Meanwhile, centre-back Moïse Bombito is still working his way back from a broken leg suffered in October, while midfielder Ali Ahmed left Norwich City’s season finale last weekend with an apparent injury. Toronto FC fullback Richie Laryea is also sidelined with a thigh issue, though he’s expected to be ready for the World Cup.
Several other key members of coach Jesse Marsch’s squad, including winger Tajon Buchanan, midfielder Stephen Eustaquio and defender Alistair Johnston, have only recently returned from injury.
